I've seen many posts where people have had trouble viewing videos on an iPad. In most cases is is possible to view the video with the following trick. (I hope I am posting this in the right area)
Sometimes you read a post and is obvious there is supposed to be a video to view. If you click the "reply with quote" button at the bottom of the post you should see something like this:
You may have to click the small scroll buttons in the upper right corner of the reply window (highlighted in blue) to scroll to where the video is embedded. You see a code containing a YouTube URL.
You can select the URL and copy it:
Go to the top of your browser and paste the URL in the address bar. Your video will now load in the YouTube app:
Voila!
P.S. If non-iOSers post the URL as text as well as the video that helps us out
