I have heard references to an "A-line" on a couple of lesson videos on You Tube when discussing chords. Is there a certain progression of chords in the key of "A" called an "A-line"? I have searched for text of such here, yahoo, etc. but haven't found anything.

Haven't heard it with chord progressions but with lead sheets. For instance, a typical jazz standard might have a specific formula. The verse might be the "A" line or part, the chorus might be the "B" line or part and the bridge might be "C." When gigging, you might need to know that a specific song is A,A,B,C,A. That would tell you how the song will be played.

Anyone else?
