Hey all.. I would love some ideas of songs that are fairly easy to play for most levels that would be good for share with my uke group..

We generally bring copies of song sheets to pass around, and the one that passes around 'leads'. Being that I am fairly a beginner and a poor singer.. having song sheets would be helpful! :)

thanks!

Anyone can play this tune in a few minutes...and hopefully we all know the words :)

[D]This land is [G]your land, this land is [D]my land,
From Calif[A7]ornia to the New York [D]Island,
From the Redwood F[G]orests to the Gulf Stream wa[D]ters;
[A7]This land was made for you and [D]me.

As I was walking that ribbon of highway,
I looked above me, there in the skyway,
I saw below me, the Golden Valley;
This land was made for you and me.

{C:Chorus.}

I roamed and rambled, and followed my footsteps
Through the sparkling sands of her diamond deserts,
And all around me this voice kept saying,
"This land was made for you and me."

{C:Chorus.}

As the Sun was shining, and I was strolling
Through the wheat fields waving and the dust clouds rolling,
I could feel inside me and see all around me,
This land was made for you and me.

{C:Chorus.}

AH- this is a good one too, and most will know it, especially if they are older than we are

Check UU's Ukulele Resource thread . . . a number of songbooks linked for downloading.

Please feel free to print out my free songbook link below and also go to my '4shared' account via the MP3 link, then
look for my .pdfs (old favorites and Hawaiian) for the lead sheets that go with the MP3s.

click on a 'green download arrow' to the right, and click on my email address with the '(at)' spelled out under the title.
that should get you to my other folders with the .pdfs.

enjoy and keep uke'in',
