I haven't touched a soprano ukulele since I was wee, but I saw a vid on "12th Street Rag" and couldn't help but grab my daughter's uke and give it a shot. I play guitar and banjo, so I wasn't completely unfamiliar with the landscape.

I need another obsession like a hole in the head. Oh well. Guess there is always room for one more.

nice video!

hahaha very nice!! banjo hard to play?

Thanks! I can't believe I haven't tried this before.

There are a lot of different styles in banjo. Clawhammer, which is what a lot of the videos on my youtube are, is pretty easy, once you get the basic right hand motion down. If you are interested, check out Patrick Costello's youtube channel http://youtube.com/user/Dobro33H
He has some basic lessons on frailing (clawhammer) and mixes in some blues and other good stuff.
