I started going to California Coast Music Camp for voice and flute. One year they added uke teacher Michelle Kiba, and I was off and running. They moved to two one-week sessions and this year had Michelle at one week and James Hill at the other. This is a smaller camp, under 100 attend, so the workshops are also small in students and there's a lot of opportunity to jam with the teachers and get advice out of class.
The sessions are mid-summer. This is a place where it doesn't matter whether you are a beginner or advanced; you'll find yourself encouraged, supported, and welcome. It is not one of those competitive, stressful music camps. So think about it for next summer.
