this ukelele thing is starting to take over my life, i've just bought another uke its the kala KA-SMHC all solid mahogany soprano, does anyone own one of these and what are your views on this little baby?

I had one a year or so ago....it was very nice!! Also had the concert size which was nice too....ahhh, I long for the good old days!!

Very nice Uke for the money, I have one and love it!
Responds very well to worth medium brown strings.

i'll bear the worths in mind uncle, does the sound of the worths make it a deeper more mellow sound than the aquilas?

Yes mate,
I would say a more mellow, balanced sound.
I think you might loose a 'tiny' bit in volume but I think they allow the Uke to 'sing out' a bit more melodiously.

thanx again uncle, well the kala arrived this morning and i've had a little dabble and it looks and sounds fantastic, love the tortoiseshell binding it really sets it off, well happy for the price bargain, i will review in the next coupla days thanx to all u posters for posting
