Hi, uke collectors---

Is a pre-troubles Bushman Jenny soprano something I should keep?

I bought mine in 2006 when they were popular and the company was reliable. Now I've upgraded my uke and I don't play the Jenny. I've considering selling it, but I wonder if it's a collectible now that they're discontinued. Or is it like holding onto an 8-track tape player? I am torn...

From what I understand, older Bushman ukes were better, but I don't know if they'll ever be collectible. The general forum sentiment is that it's safer to buy a used one than a new one, so you shouldn't have any trouble selling it if you don't play anymore. Just don't expect it to have increased in value; it's still a fairly recent production uke and they did sell a ton of them.

I wouldn't think there's anything collectible about it. Nice stuff, to be sure, but nothing rare or especially unique about it that would indicate a demand for them now or in the future.
