he kinda changes it up as he goes. i would say do a down strum, then pause, then chunk, then strum away. main thing is keep the chunk on beat.

Hey nuke, So you call the "mute-strum" a 'chunk'? Whenever i would refer to that, I always called it a 'scratch' lol What is that technique called anyway?

Someone please explain the method behind making that "scratch" noise heard in this particular video (above)...sounds cool and I keep seeing it in performances...

one of the best songs by bob marley IMO... i wanted to learn this song a while ago, and im starting to want to learn it again!
