String keeps coming of the bridge.

Hello.

Yes, I am bothering you again, people. My 'A' string keeps coming off the bridge of my ukulele whenever I tune it, which unfortunately means I can't really do much with it. I can't even tune it up to the correct note before it comes off suddenly. I have not had this trouble with any other strings.

Is there anyway to combat this, other than getting a new string or whatnot?

Is it fixed with a knot in the string,or a standard
bridge tie where the string is doubled back on itself
and then wrapped around four times? More info
needed if anyone can help you!

Assuming it's the knot at the end of the string that holds it in place - the solution is to tie a bigger knot. On my Kamakas the A string always needs at least 3, sometimes up to 5, wraps in the knot, or it will pop out.

Some folks tie the string to a small glass bead (from Michaels and other bead stores) to stop this from happening. A more expensive but similar solution might be http://www.southcoastukes.com/stringuide_files/BBBs.htm

Yep, bigger knot, or if it's a tie bridge, wrap string round itself once or twice more. I'm assuming it's the former, and easily fixed.
