I'm looking for a uke stand (wooden if possible) but metal will do. I don't really want one with a back, just a base that holds it (it's going to sit on a dresser). Please send me a PM if you have an extra you could sell me!

Kala sells them, if I recall.

I bought this one from Kala. I like it a lot -- it is very portable and I prefer this padding so that I'm not worried about scratching the finish on my ukes.

There are some very nice stands on the evil bays. Some have fancy inlays, some have fancy laser etchings. I intend to buy one when I get a few extra bucks and put some felt on it so there's no chance of scratching the instrument.

There are folding violin stands that are wooden, padded and work very well.
