I posted this in the video discussion thread but I think maybe it was supposed to go here. I just started playing uke and am very interested in learning how to do it well.

I hope you guys enjoy.

I walk over from the window to find my baby laying in bed
I said “move it on over honey, we can no longer pay the rent”
she just looked back at me and she smiled
she said, “I don't like it here any way,
let's go where its colder, where people gotta be warmer.”

So we headed out for Denver, where I told her we would stay
You said good it was a good decision, I said it was like any other decision to me
when the train roll in the station and you step out on the platform with me
You know we ain't got much money, but we don't need it you see......

Put your hands in your pockets babe and shake them all around
We're gonna live it up in Denver with the loose change out on the ground
We'll hit it real hard we'll be like royalty
We're gonna live lives of freedom but freedom isn't free
Theres one catch mama this aint gonna last
we gotta get to the next town and we gotta move fast
we're gonna take it to the rails we're gonna ride down the lines
we'll do another shot of cocaine and we'll be just fine

chains my baby's got me locked up in chains
and the ain't the kind that I can see
these chains of love got a hold on me

(a 12 bar solo)

We picked up our suitcase, and with everything we owned
We stumbled on out into the city streets, they looked just like it did back home
My heart sank into my stomach, everything looked the same
I said babe lets keep roaming, it's all that's left to me

Put your hands in your pockets babe and shake them all around
We're gonna live it up in Denver with the loose change out on the ground
We'll hit it real hard we'll be like royalty
We're gonna live lives of freedom but freedom isn't free
Theres one catch mama this ain't gonna last
we gotta get to the next town and we gotta move fast
we're gonna take it to the rails we're gonna ride down the lines
we'll do another shot of cocaine and we'll be just fine

I do like the song, but perhaps you should change "shot" of cocaine to "bump" of cocaine. Cocaine isn't a drink :p

While I agree with you that cocaine isn't a drink, lol. The reason I use the word shot is because of the actual cocaine blues song, "I took a shot of cocaine and I shot my woman down."
