At any rate, this is a uke I picked up from Fran of the VT Uke Society in a trade. It's a nice concert dealie, all solid mahogany, rosewood board, etc. My work on it included a bridge reglue, fret dress, pickup install, side-dots and replacement fret dots, etc. -- all addressed in the blog post link above.

I've set this one aside as a gigging and recording instrument (hence the pickup). Good strident tone means it'll be heard for solos and band work and the sunburst finish matches my Regal-made dreadnought Hawaiian guitar from the '30s.

As can be expected, I'm quite pleased with it!

Stan: Yup, she picked up a screaming banjo uke and some $$ from me for it. I'd been toying with the idea of getting one of these fellas for a while anyhow, after working on a couple for some customers. Played this one for the first time in a jam today... kept pace quite well. :)

Love these Johnny Marvin's!
They are so cool looking and have a nice mellow tone.

I really love that sunburst finish. Very nice uke! You should post a video playing it :)
