UK Dust Storm

Chaos in the shed today...I was rough sanding down a load of side strips on the drum sander with a 63 grit belt fitted...Dust extractor working flat out at the other end of the shop..then all of a sudden I heard something fall with a clatter....it was a large lathe tool that fell off the shelf..as it fell it put a 200mm split in the plastic bag of the dust extractor...the shed was instantly turned ino a desert scene Dust storm (without the Camels)..it's a good job I had a face mask on...I switched off the sander and galloped across the shop thro' the fog to turn the power off ..I came out of the shed covered in 3 weeks of sawdust....Mrs Timbuck and I will go back in and sort the mess when it's all settled down.

Wow, that does sound like a mess.
But if you need to wear a mask while using your sander it's time for a better dust extractor anyway. Find the best one you can afford, then buy the next model up.

If I had the best there is..I'd still use the mask as well..Belt and braces job
