I'm not familiar with the tune, but it appears to be in 6/8. That is two beats per measure, each beat divided into thirds: 1-2-3 2-2-3. For the most part, you can just make the chord shape indicated above the tab with your left hand and pick out what is written in the tab with your right.

6/8 can be a little tricky to figure out if your not used to it, but you can get it with some listening/practice. Listen to the song a bunch of times to get the feel.

Hope this helps.

I will try to explain, each line represents the string on your uke. As you see in the first line they show G on the bottom (though its on top of your uke closest to your head) and so on. The numbers represent the fret you play on the string. Play them in successive order.
I would say (though I haven't played this song) it is a combination of picking and strumming. If there is just ONE number on one line. Pick it, if it has multiple strings/frets being played at the same time. Strum it.

I hope that I didn't make you more confused. If you lay your uke on the table, perhaps you will see the relationship of the strings/frets to the tab.

Good luck! Once you get it, it is fairly simple!

In addition to what fitncrafty said, if you can read tabs then try to follow along while the song is playing.. It helps a lot.
