I was looking for an affordable solid wood Tenor ukulele and saw the "Islander" by Kanilea ukulele MT-4 at Hawaii Music Supply for $119!

I didn't know the Islander, which is a solid Mahogany, with pin bridge ukulele were so, inexpensive!...

Aaron compared the sound to the Kanilea and the video sample sounded Great!

This has to be the best value Solid wood Tenor Uke available.:D

The 119 is the laminate version of the islanders. The solid is 305 or under. The laminate still sound pretty amazing though. Definitely a bang for your buck.

Oh, I didn't know the MT-4 was a laminate.

I saw the MST-4 for $269 and thought that was a great deal also, with Free shipping! http://www.theukulelesite.com/ukulelemarket/islander-all-solid-mahogany-tenor-mst-4

I used to have a Pono but, was not happy with the fret work (sharp edges) due to the wood shrinkage at the music store I bought it from.

I have a Kala KA-ST solid Spruce top Tenor which I really like but, I miss the sound of a Solid wood Uke and don't want to spend $400 for another Pono or equivalent. (I like the K-brand reputation and quality)

I wish Kamaka would come out with an affordable ukulele model line!
