Thinking about picking up a pono tenor. Either the mt or the mtd, would prefer electronics already installed and setup for high G. Anybody have one sitting lonely in a corner?

There's a nice mahogany and spruce one on Flea Market Music right now: http://www.fleamarketmusic.com/marketplace/default.asp

I've seen'em go for a little less with a Ko'olau hard case, but in all, not a bad deal.

Yeah I see that, but I would rather have an all mahogany than a spruce top.

If one shows up while I've still got the UAS kicking I'll probably pick it up. Curious to see how their acacia turns out and figure if I decide to get one of those I could flip a mahogany model pretty easily.

Dude, the spruce tops ring better than the mahogany. Easily. I got the maple/spruce mpt and it's absolutely slamming clear, sharp highs, thick low end. Spruce tops are way, way too underrated. The mahogany and spruce would probably balance pretty beautifully. Warmth, but with the ever more resonant spruce top. I almost bought one.
