any jazz or blues tunes for the uke?

I was listening to some videos of my concert band when i was in middle school, and remembered the jazz songs were the funnest to play.
so now im curious and inspired to learn a bit more. any songs that you think that could be converted to ukulele or links to tabs would be helpful.

Jumpin' Jim also has a Blues Ukulele book that has 16 blues standards arranged for ukulele.

If you have a fakebook, they'll have the chords and melody line for all kinds of songs. You'll need to read standard notation, but there are a lot of ukulele resources that can help with that. I've been learning songs out of The Blues Fakebook by Woody Mann and The New Real Book, which is edited by Chuck Sher. They both have lots of great tunes in the genres you're interested in.

Glen Rose Jazzy Uke

I've been using Glen Rose's Jazzy Uke books for about two years now and I can pick up a fakebook---I like Hal Leonard's---and see patterns and know how they can be played on the uke. Great and reasonably priced-----------videos included.

At one point several years ago I was trying to write down arrangements I come up with .... I only scanned in one. Pretty easy arrangement. Please excuse my chicken scratch handwriting.

Pretty much every blues song is playable on the uke, although some with signature bass-string runs may be difficult. One of my favourites is an old tune called Singin The Blues. Easy to play.

I play fingerstyle jazz and blues. One source that you might not think of is to use the Hal Leonard series called "Easy Guitar with Notes and Tab." All of these books (Jazz, Blues, Latin, various Rock--you can look it up on the Hal Leonard website) are geared toward beginning gutiarists, which means that many of the arrangments are written only for the top 4 strings of the guitar. Thus the arrangements easily transfer over to a low G or baritone ukulele. Of course if you are going to play in a group with guitarists on a low G instrument, one or the other of you will have to transpose, but for solo play it works out fine. The books are very inexpensive and widely available.
