Hello All,

I'm entirely new to the world of ukuleles, simply because I recently dusted off my father's old Gibson which has been sitting on the piano for years. It was badly out of tune, but we got the pegs tightened up a bit and now seems to be alright, albeit with flat strings.

I'm hoping to sell the ukulele in order to afford an upgrade in guitar, I've had the same one since I was in middle school. In the process though I've become very interested in ukuleles and have found myself enjoying listening to Eddie Vedder's recent album, and playing this old uke.

If anyone has any insight into this particular model I would be very curious to know its history.

I've listed it on ebay here, there is a video I included too:

Thanks for looking,

-William

Looking again, I see that the light was tricking me on the bridge. Appears to be original.

I'm gonna take a stab in the dark and reckon it's a pre-1933 as you don't see "The Gibson" logo much after that. Without a FON I can't date it much better than that. I'd guess '27-'29.

I'm sure there are better authorities here than me.

I'm going to be watching the auction. I will certainly bid within reason.

Do you have more photos?
