So I'm in a band and I use a soprano and baritone for different songs. I purchased a stick on pick-up and it works fine except it's kind of a pain resticking it between songs, especially when it falls off on my foot. I switch back and forth quite a bit.

I'm thinking about having a pick-up installed. Has anyone done this, what kind, what did it cost, did you have an eq put in or just a pick-up, do you use a pre-amp and was it successful or did you just wish you'd bought a new uke with one in it. The local luthier quoted about $120. to install one without an eq. He is hesitant to cut that hole in the side.

And does anyone know if the mysterious UU uke will be amped? I need a concert or smaller and a baritone. So I could install a pick-up in my baritone and then WAIT for the UU uke to be marketed and have my two amped ukes. Oh, Ryan, oh, Aldrine, oh Aaron, we're all waiting........

Thanks in advance for any info.......

Have you thought of have the stick-on installed permanently,
stuck on to the inside? Quick, cheap, un-do-able.

Hadn't thought of that.....wonder how the sound quality would be?
