Mainland mahogany tenor vs kala acacia tenor question?

Hi all I need some opinions please at present I only have a mainland tenor and it is tuned dGBE I have done this due to preference I know I could just buy a baritone etc. My question is im very soon going to own a kala acacia tenor the purpose of this is to have one in normal tuning and one in dGBE. My question is which one should I tune to which tuning and why? Thanks all in advance

I really think you are going to have to try on both, but I would have thought the Acacia, sweeter sounding wood would suit standard uke tuning, and have it reentrant high G. The mainland mahogany may suit the darker tones of DGBE better?

Okay mate some keep as is then maybe when it get a pickup that could be the timetable to try both out.

Does anyone have any knowledge on what would sound nicer as a baritone mahogany or acacia?
