uke not working on some amps

So i just got my stagg electric uke today. havent bought an amp yet cuz i wanted to hear how it sounds. I brought to my friends house and plugged it into his line 6 amp and there was no sound. Then we plugged it into his bass amp it worked fine. Can someone explain this too me? there is nothing wrong with the amp his guitar works fine. Help please

I'd check little things like cables. Maybe you used a bad one or it was turned so that it was just cutting out. There should be no reason for one amp working and the other not. Double check your controls too. Most times something funny like that is just a "doh!" moment. I've had a lot of them.

Ditto, on Hippie Guy's recommendation. Cables and jacks are prime suspects here. Use the same cable on both amps and reverse the cable ends from the instrument to the amplifiers. Ric

hey guys i appreciate the help, but i tried all that before I posted. Used the same cable on both amps. Thats why im so puzzled. And we used the same cablewith a gutair and it worked fine on the amp but if you plugged the uke into it....no sound. but on the bass amp your can hear the uke fine....
