Baritone Banjo Uke with Antique Merlot Finish

I'm guessing (well, not really) that the little foam thing is in there to keep the instrument from sounding too much like a banjo! :)

You do know the definition of "perfect pitch", don't you?

When you toss the banjo into the dumpster and it hits the accordion...

Looks pretty nice Aaron. I hope you finished the merlot after it finished the uke:p

I always wedge a piece of foam between the dowel stick and the piezzo pickups. It helps keep the amplified sound more consistent from string to string
and mutes some of the high overtones, which don't amplifiy as well.

In my case, if you want to sing with it, that makes a good damper. I roll up a paper towel and but it under the strings between the bridge and the foot. By moving it a bit I can change the tone and don't have to yell to be heard when I'm playing it (a Goldtone Banjolele).

I always put a sock in my banjo ukes. Easier to sing with and mutes harsh overtones.
