Ukulele decoupage

I was thinking of trying some decoupage on my kala tenor. I was wondering if anyone else has tried this on one of their ukulele soundboard? How did it come out and where can I find materials to make a nice desion my uke.

Unless is strictly a wall hanger, in the interest of preserving and sound quality your Kala may have I would warn against putting anything on the sound board.

I agree. As an artist and craft person who has done a fair amount of decoupage, I don't think it a good idea to do this to a playable uke. I've seen ukes personalized with little stickers or paintings on their soundboards, but layers of Mod Podge, or whatever sealant you are thinking of using, will most probably alter the sound of your uke.

Why not decoupage a hardshell case for your Kala instead?

Ok thanks for all the advice guys..I just wanted to personalize my uke but if effect the overall sound then I rather not do it.
