I've been making a few of these mahogany pineapples lately. I managed to get a great stack of some 50 year old wood and I've been itching to use it.

Got a couple for stock, but this one is off to Western Australia in a few days. This one is a little different from the others as friction tuners were specified instead of my usual open back geared ones. As well the finish is hand rubbed Danish Oil instead of the more usual lacquer that I prefer for the more humid conditions we have in the tropics. However this one is off to the very dry south western corner of Australia, so excess humidity is never going to be an issue.

Very nice work. I like your stand as well.

mmm....fresh pineapple. Looks great man. I love that rope binding. What woods went into the binding?

Bindings are Indian Rosewood / Koa / Maple / Mahogany with a Koa purling strip to the inside.

I'm lucky that my wife is quite interested in photography and I get her to do the photo shoots now. My shots were all a bit industrial.
