With the right strings, that Mele on ebay might be mellow enough! It probably has ebony nut/saddle, so it may not be as bright as bone.

Thanks PhilUSAFRet ...I'd prefer a MAHOGANY Mele Guitarlele, although a koa would be fine also.

There has to be one in somebody's closet, in need of some attention and looking for a good home.
