Kalimba Thumb Piano Questions

Hi. Anyone know anything about kalimbas? I'm interested in them but don't know anything about them. How much do you need to spend to get a good playable one. I'm sure you get what you pay for like anything but are the Hugh Tracey ones that cost over $100 that much better than say a $40 one.
