Hi all, I posted a while ago about which to build next, a Sycamore tenor, or a cocobolo concert.
Well I decided to build the tenor first... in fact I bent up the sides for both the same day but the concert is taking a back seat...

This build has a 15' radius back and a 20' radius top.

Let me know what you think.

Beautiful wood. Anxious to see it finished.

Just took delivery of a sycamore tenor that Aaron built.

Got to tell you the sound is wonderful.

Very pretty sycamore. I like your binding and rosette combo....very tasty

Thanks all.
I went out in the shop this morning and started cutting fret slots in a cocobolo fretboard I had laid out for this build, I got to the second to last slot and a light bulb went off in my head. I have a piece of Ebony sitting in the corner... It was given to me by a friend. Then I thought dang now I have to make another fretboard... Ooh well at least I have a board ready to go for my next tenor build.

here are a couple pics of the fretboard... I am liking it, even if it did take me about 5 hours to make... Ebony is not the easiest to install fretwire into... but I got it done.

Very nice indeed. I'd love to get my hands on some decent quartered sycamore but where I am (West Yorkshire) it's considered firewood.
