Hi here,

Just wonder how do you guys could find the proper chord from the chord chart?

For example if i wanna find a Eb Major, but there have 11 different types that I can choose, but the thing is that they are all Eb Major. (Link: http://www.ezfolk.com/uke/chords/Eb_Major/eb_major.html ), so how do I know which one is the best one?

thank you so much

Vincent

I would choose the one that sounds the best in the context of the song, followed by which one I can finger more easily technically and by which chord it follows and leads to (amount of moving around the fingers need to do).
For example if my other chords were using notes on the first 2 or 3 frets then I doubt that the example up on the 10th fret would sound right (but then again it may be just what is needed for that song!)

Absolutely, Kerley.

There is no right or wrong choice. But the first one or two that ezfolk list, which are usually found on the first few frets, are going to the most commonly used and standard voicings of the chords you're after.
