inspired by a local open mic that does not like "singer songwriters"
"slit your wrist bedroom songs"
in fact, "no original stuff please"," just stuff we know, that we can dance to when we are drunk"

this was filmed at the jolly anglers reading , a proper open mic.

I'm so disappointed.... when I saw 'open mic', I was REALLY hoping for 'Mustang Sally'.....seriously - excellent tune!.... and a great performance. Like the melody in the chorus very much. The crowd got nice and quiet, really was a proper open mic.....

Good stuff!

Note to self:

Don't pat krabbers on the back.

I loved it. Beautiful honesty at it's best. The emotion in the chorus was fantastic.

Dear Krabbers,

Please stop looking into my brain and writing the songs you find in there. Actually... don't stop. You do a WAY better job than I ever would.

Love,

Uncle E

Good job. Sometimes when there's a lot of stand-up comedians at the open mike, I threaten to balance it off by "reaching into my deep stockpile of songs about death and infirmity."
