Usually I have a song fully memorized before I do a video of it. But this time, I was excited at the idea of playing a New Pornographers song on the tiple. So I didn't wait. And as a result, I am blatantly looking off-camera at the page with the lyrics and chords.
The New Pornographers are a Canadian alternative rock band. They're my favorite band of the past decade. If you live in the U.S., you've probably heard some of their songs on commercials. "Moves" is presently on a T-Mobile ad, and "Sweet Talk, Sweet Talk" was on a Kindle commercial this spring. A couple years ago, "The Bleeding Hearts Show" was on the late night University of Phoenix ads.
