Does anyone play any Dowland or other Renaissance stuff on the uke? On a four-course uke? How does it sound?

Excellent! Yes, I've downloaded many of those arrangements already, and many are very good. I'm listening to John King's Bach arrangements now. The BWV 1007 Sarabande works particularly well; there are some odd parts to the Prelude, but I suppose that is unavoidable...but I was lambasted once for playing Stanley Yates' arrangement at a master class; d'oh.
