New uke on a whim

I am still a noobie to the uke world. In fact I had just gotten my first uke ( a Kala KA-T ) the other day but I am hooked. This morning I found an Applause UAE 20 acoutic electric soprano Adamas red used on Ebay. It was listed as like new from a seller with 100% feedback. I see that new ones go for about 159.00 but was able to win the auction for 102.00.
I know that the manufacturer (ovation) is reputable. Can anyone tell e more about this pretty little thing? I do know that it is a solid top with a plastic body. Can you suggest an amp and some strings that would suit it best? Any thing else you can tell me about it would be appreciated. Thanks.

Solid sweet player, but some have a less than sweet acoustic sound. They sound good amped (go with an acoustic amp).
If it has Made in Korea on the label, lucky you! I don't like the China product as well.
