My new/used concert fluke arrives tomorrow.
Rosewood fretboard, laminate top.
Since it is 5 years old, I'm thinking I may need new strings.
Suggestions?
I switched from Aquilas to Orcas on my Fluke, the voice mellowed a bit and sounds more like a wooden ukulele.
I played Aquilas for years and was always happy, great strings.
I found Aquilas a bit boomy and overkill on my concert fluke.
Since then, you name the string, I've tested them on mine. Settled on Worth CM's which sound best to my ears. May not necessarily sound best to yours though!
Just received my fluke.
Shipped from Connecticut to Washington state.
The darn thing was still in tune when it arrived via UPS!
It has black strings which I assume to be hilos.
Kinda flat sounding.
Definitely time for new strings.
Three suggestions above for three different strings.
Anyone else care to weigh in?

Worth Browns, Low G, my personal favorite on my concert Fluke. I have had my fluke for almost two years and have tried Aquila (both Nylgut and regular), Worth CM's, and Worth Browns.
Thanks all, for your input.
I'm going to try the Martins.
Why? Because they are in stock at the local Guitar Center so I can get them today.
Never strung an ukulele before, but it appears to be pretty straightforward.
