Thanks for all your help and advice many of you gave me in your posts to my previous threads. I went to Hilo Guitar yesterday and bought my first uke, a Kanile'a K1-S SF. It's gorgeous and sounds so sweet. The sound just rings on and on. Brian was out till Sat. But Travis was very helpful. Now I just need to learn more about playing this beautiful instrument!
Mahalo to all.

Sorry, I couldn't get this picture to load from my iPhone while in Hawaii. Since I first posted, I have been learning - and even took a uke lesson while in Honolulu. This is one sweet uke.

Thanks again to all of you who gave me such great advice.

Great idea to start off with a great ukulele. You surely saved money by doing this and get to learn on something that makes you want to learn even more

Thanks for the congratulations. It's so nice to be able to share my new acquisition with people who actually know what it means to own a Hawaiian-made uke.

I love this uke so much that I am now addicted. I am learning to play pretty quickly; however that may be because I play it all the time. My roommate bought a very nice Islander Tenor when we went to Oahu (from Hawaii Music Supply). She works and I'm retired, so I'm way ahead of her and somewhat annoying because I'm also playing all the time. But I love it!

Thanks for all the encouragement!:)
