Melodica info

Hi all I am thinking about buying a melodica to accompany ukulele. Can not find much basic information on different types and so on. Does anybody know of any website where I can get any info?

Don't have any general info for you, but I recently bought the Hohner 32 key student melodica on a whim. I would recommend spending more money. It's okay - and they kids love honking around on it - but for $35, the intonation is pretty bad, especially the lower octave. The thing isn't really in tune, with standard pitch or itself. If you just want something to fool around with, it'll do, but if you want a really useful instrument, I think you'll need to bump the price point up a couple of notches. Hopefully someone else can recommend a little more reliable instrument.....

I was thinking around £45 you can get the Hohner student one. But how many keys I am not sure.

Like I said, not the greatest.... wish I'd done a little more research (like you).... I would have gladly spent twice as much to get an instrument that sounded better.
