I have two ukes that could use a good lowering of action. The bridge and saddle are built in (part of the plastic mold) and even if the saddle were completely gone, teh action would be would be too high. Any ideas? (by the way, they are anld old Fin-der and and old Mona Lauo.

If the saddle was completly gone and it still be too high, not sure what could be done about that. Not sure if I am understanding. But, if the bridge and saddle is all molded into the body and solid (not hollow), I would grind them completely off and build a new bridge and saddle for them. The nut should be an easier fix. Just grind it down to the height you are looking for and cut new grooves. Post pictures so we can take a look.
