St James Infirmary Blues

I like it. Has real atmosphere.

I did it with my concertina. (ahem  ) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SMRoinEH3Lw

The story of the Unfortunate Rake's progress from 18th Century England to New Orleans is quite a fascinating one.

Just listened to your concertina version and it definitely has and English flavour to it
Also had a look at your Shruti Box. I have never seen one of those before... very
reminiscent of the drone on the bagpipes. It goes well with medieval english music
I listened to your song The Unquiet Grave (Child #78) and it was perfect with it.

This strikes me the same way as Eugene's "Joshua Fit the Battle o' Jericho". I first heard both songs as Allan Sherman parodies when I was young, and that's how I remember them.

"I went down to Mt. Sinai Hospital
To see my old zaydie there
And I said, Thanks God
For the Blue Cross
And I wish we had the Medicare"
