Where do you guys buy your ukulele strings here? Specifically I'm looking for worth browns, but shipping from America is 10 dollars, and I find that rather unnecessary, seeing as it costs like 1 euro to put those things in an envelope and mail them. A search on the forums turned up an old thread, but most of the websites suggested there are either defunct, or only sell aquilas. Not that I'm anti-aquila, they just don't sound good on my ukulele. So yes. Anyone know any good European sites for string-buying?

Liebe Grüße,
Tina

I use Ebay or the Southern Ukulele Store in Bournemouth, UK, Should be a huge price to ship to Germany...

Are you not on the German Ukulelen Club discussion forum as well?

Maunakea is a great vendor: http://www.maunakeaukulele.de/ I ordered a set of Aquilas and a string winder from him and it came super fast with very low shipping.

Ukulele.de doesn't have Worths, but it's run by the Rigk Sauer of RISA Electronic Ukes and is another reputable online shop.

There are some french shops- www.musique83.com and http://www.exquisite.fr and http://www.ukebox.fr but shipping will be at international rates, and could get quite expensive.

If you're ever in Berlin, you can just stop into the local uke store- www.leleland.eu and try to stop yourself from picking up another ukulele...

By the way, I love reading your blog!

Sonnige Grüße aus Berlin!

When did you move, Tina?

June!

They sell Worth browns under their RISA label:

Also available from Thomann:

They even have them in a local store here in Hamburg.

I bought my Freemont Blacklines through Southern Ukulele Store on Ebay, shipping was Euro 1,72.

http://schneidermusik.de/ is also a good source for strings, free shipping.

Southern Ukulele Store. I pretty much play Worths exclusively, and they have always had anything I've wanted.
