The Melting Pot Cafe will be hosting Kernuke ukulele club as part of it's Wednesday night music evenings.

There are no fees, (free entry whether you are playing or not) players of all standards welcomed.
Ages this month ranged from 9 to 70, some first timers and some experienced players.
If you are too nervous to join in there is always room at the bar or in an armchair.

Skinners on tap, the buns are nice.

Song books will be available on the night. Suggestions for songs welcomed in advance so we can print off a few copies.

Being a school night the numbers tend to drop off around 9.30 but the bar shuts at 11 and we will play as long as the group wants to.

Thanks Roberta, I am not used to organising stuff like this, it's odd to have such talented players turning up and expecting you to 'lead'. Fortunately there were many helping hands.

he, he Same thing happened to me!! I was hoping someone 'better' would be the 'fearless leader' but I am still it, tho not the best player! LOL I guess, being retired, I have the time & enthusiasm to keep it on the go!!

We were a bit quiet over the 4 week Xmas/New Year period, but last Wed, we had a terrific session & everyone was in great voice! We are doing a performance on Jan 26th, Australia Day at the local Bowling Club, but I will miss it, being in Tasmania for a family wedding!

Try & get the 'same' songbook for everyone to use, so you can just say, let's try page No xx - the Daily Ukulele is good, but a lot of the arrangements are not for beginners. Any of the club songbooks here - the Taunton, Brighton are terrific, using the easier chords a lot. Other good links here too.
