Back in April of this year (2011) I posted a new thread called "Self-Examination Tool for Ukulele Proficiency" (SET UP, get it?).

Anyway, with all the new UUers around I thought we all might get a
kick out of trying it out. Just in case you still think you're a beginner,
try the your hand at this.

It's in the Beginner Forum, search under "Self-Examination Tool", and
above all - ENJOY!

Thanks nickie_66

and for the record, I guess it was in February, not April.

Enjoy and keep uke'in',

Thanks again Uncle Rod, I enjoyed it when you first posted it and still use to give my fingers a workout.

I practice this exercise everyday!

At first I had problems but, now (8 months later), I can play it decently with two strums! I still consider myself a beginner though... Thanks Uncle Rod!...

Anyone else want to try their hand (literally) at this 'Test'?

Just for fun, of course!

I did better than I thought I would, but still get hung up on those transitions into Bb! A great exercise: I may use it for warming up, although the practice sheets in the Boot Camp book are good for that, too.

Thanks, Uncle Rod! You're the cat's.
