Anyone know who I can trust to clean it up? It hasn't been played in close to 50 years. Still in good condition, no cracks and such, just needs a good check up with cleaning, polishing and new strings. Mahalo!
If you don't mind sending it off, I know that you can trust Mike Chock of Hana Lima Ia. I know that is is repairing another guy's vintage Kamaka who's bridge popped off. Give him an email, and see what he says.

I would suggest calling him first, and telling him your situation, and seeing what he says, and then going from there.
I'll give you a few ways to contact him, and you pick what you like.
