The colors are just awesome at this time of the year here and we are blessed with abnormally warm weather for this season to enjoy it.
I am lucky to live in the land of maple and maple syrup to view these colors although I'd like to live in Hawaii, California or Florida in winter !
in my opinion, maple as a tonewood gives good note seperation and is more "transparent".....does not enrich the sound with overtones like rosewood does. I'm sure a luthier could better describe it.
