NEW Martin 2K Concert Uke... available...anyone try these yet?

Noticed the other day that the new Martin 2K Concert Ukes are shipping and now for sale at least at this store.

Has anyone played one? How do they sound?

I'd like to hear how they compare to the K brands and other koa concerts. These Martins are priced higher than the K-brand and many single luthier-built concerts (base level) but have top/bottom binding plus a rosette.

I'm interested in these ukes but don't know if they are worth the asking price ($1599 list/$1199 street).

Any thoughts on these new Martins 2K concerts?

I played them at the Martin Owner's Club event at the Factory (aka The Holey Land) back in August. Great instruments. Everything you would expect from CFM.

BTW, it is easy enough to get Martins at 40% off of list (that would put the 2K Concert at around $960 or so) if you're willing to buy online or by phone.

Try Maury's Music in Pa. Tell them Scooter sent you.

Other well known Martin dealers that sell that low are Elderly instruments and My Favorite Guitars.
