The 6th Annual Maui 'Ukulele Festival http://www.ukulelefestivalhawaii.org/en/maui.htm is going on right now. I'm here visiting some of my 'ohana(hawaiian for family)

Here at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center with free admission!
Local artists Richard Ho'opi'i, Ohta-san with Nando Suan
also with - Nilly Baduria, Daniel Baduria
Tamlyn Tamura
Ukulele Pops Band of Maui
South Maui Strummers
Kalama Intermediate School 'Ukulele Band
Na Palapalai
A local Hula Halau - Halau Na Lei Kaumaka'o Uka
They're also offering free 'ukulele workshops

So for those UU folks who want to plan ahead for next years uke fest here, remember to bring your-
- sunscreen & slippers
- swim wear & beach towels
- binoculars (if you want to watch some of the local surfers & wind sail surfers)
- warm clothes (if you want to take a trip to Haleakala summit- at about 10,000 ft up)
& ukulele of course:)
- no need to bring your alarm clocks as you can wake up to the local
roosters crowing!!

It's whaling season now - the whales are starting to arrive for their annual da kine season too.
The local food is so ono(hawaiian for delicious) here ..mmm...

ok- signing out now - gotta head back to where the action is!
