I don't want my chorus to fall into the C-G-Am-F trap. Or any part of my song. So recently I've been reading up stuff about chord progressions and playing around with them.
And then I came across this question. If I'm coming up with chord progressions, I'm bound to come up with easier ones and more difficult, more varied ones.
When you're writing a song, do you find it more effective to put the more varied/complicated chord progressions in the verse, the chorus, or elsewhere (Bridge? Intro? Outro?)?
