No thanks Pete. If it's not koa, it's not an uke.

Once you have gone over to the dark side there is no turning back - I only have 12 sets of decent koa for tenors left. I hear Australia calling :)

Have to agree with you Chuck. It has such an immediate sound to it. Client wants dots though so it's a retro fit tomorrow...

Well that's a PITA after the fact. I'd tell the client to wait for the next one!

I thought we had a conversation about no face dots - my default position on commissioned ukes. Why? If you have no face dots, people are reluctant to play your instrument :) Side dots are really all that is required.

You know that is actually true! I've had three friends NOT want to try my custom Vento uke because there were no face dots!

You guys are pumping out some serious eye candy lately and it's inspiring. That's some loverly koa, the mahogany one is awesome too.

I've got enough for just 2 more tenors in the mahogany :(

Very clean and elegant looking ukuleles Pete as usual. Are you using the bolt on neck on these?

Pete Howlett

Always - it's the only neck attachment that makes any sense to me having tried them all.
