Live Lesson 10/19/2011 - Eric Clapton Lay Down Sally

Need help with intro (explanation starts at ~ 9minutes, http://www.ustream.tv/recorded/17983102) . I cannot quite match what he says with what he plays. In my notation below R' is pink muted roll and the number (if present) is the fret to finger on the E string (in addition to A7 chord).

I think he says:

d - d - R' u d(2) ...

But appears to play:

d - d - R' - d u(2) d(3) ...

After which I cannot keep up.

My starting point is now:

d - d - R' - d u(2) d(3) - d(3) u(2) d

Please correct. Thank You.
