Guess what game I just received?

WOOHOO!!! Got a copy of it before its officially released! (Supposed to be released on 13SEP08 in Japan.)

NOTE - PM me if you want a copy of the ROM. Please be aware that it is in JAPANESE!

daang!! how did you pull that off???
after you play it a little... a review would be nice :) haha

Yeah, the ROM is available all over the place - including my server. :D PM me if you want a copy. It works well with the No$GBA emulator. I've also got a DSOne Supercard - so I've been playing it on my DSLite.

I just finished with the 8th badge and there are a few difference with the story as compared to D/P.

WARNING - SPOILER:
Code:
It's the same 'ol story - kid gets his/her chance to start out an
adventure with 1 of 3 pokemon that they receive from the local Professor.
Our hero's arch rival is the grandson of the local Professor which makes
you wonder about nepotism since it's been the same way since back in
the first versions with Professor Oak and his grandson Gary! LOL

Anyway - there are a few differences with Platinum in that the badge
sequence (in D/P the 3rd badge is actually obtained 5th, because the gym
leader is away from the gym) is different and the first 3 gym leaders have
new and improved gym challenges to go through before getting to them to
battle.

Some HM's and TM's are where they were in D/P, but not ALL of them.
The hardest one to find has been HM05 - Defog, simply because it is NOT
in the Great Marsh as it was in D/P.

I haven't gone through the "Elite Four" yet, but supposedly the arena area
has been changed to match more like the TV Show - with rocks in the
middle of the playing field or trees, etc. etc. I have to "train" my pokemon
a little more before starting out with the "Elite Four".

BTW - trading pokemon between D/P and Platinum is NO PROBLEM. There are
some slight differences (mostly to do with graphics and sprites), but for the
most part it is the same. However, as in previous versions - the Japanese
versions only have 5 characters available for your Trainer ID Name where in
the US version of D/P there are 7 characters allowed. If you have more than
5 characters in your trainers name, then you'll need to meet up in a Union
Room first then automatically add the other person to your Palpad. There is
no way to physically type in 7 characters to register a player in a Japanese
Palpad.

I can go on with more - but I think you've got the gist of it. Lemme know if
you have any questions regarding Pokemon Platinum.
