I'm reading the guitar chords for a song to play it on the ukulele, and one of the chords in it is called G* and the fingering is

e-x
B-x
G-x
D-5
A-5
E-3

I tried looking up the real name of the chord with no luck... so does anyone happen to know the real name of this chord or how to play it on the uke?

He put an asterisk next to it because he doesn't know what it's called. Its a G5, or G power chord.

On a low G uke:

A - X
E - 3
C - 2
G - 0

power chords

that's a power chord. it's basically just a simplified version of Gmaj, with the root and the fifth. it's played with an open G, 1st fret C, 2nd fret E, and 4th fret A. here's a site with diagrams of all the power chords, which is probably easier than that explanation:

hope this helps!
