right now im playing a cheap $40 stagg US20 >_< i really... need a new uke!!! i have made a list of the ukes i have been looking at and contemplating... i have a $250 price limit... so if you wanna suggest something else keep it below that!!! i wanna know which of these ukes has the best sound, and holds a tune the longest (kind of irrelevant) so heres the list:

kala SSTU-T Travel Tenor

Ibanez UEW20SG concert

im leaning towards either the ibanez or the kala travel tenor... but all these are my options... and dont be shy about giving me other recommendations... i am open to anything!!! and i want it to look nice too!! wich is why im leaning towards the ibanez!! thanks alot everyone!!

Mainland Ukes are in your price range, and offer tremendous value. They seem to be out of stock of just about everything right now, but have the Mango Concert in stock...

And Hawaii Music Supply has a Kala Solid Mahogany concert on ebay right now for under $250

The kala travel tenor is alot of uke for the money. Sounds great and has volume to spare. I'm really impressed with it...

I second the Mainland Mango Concert. I have the Spruce top concert and it has become my go to uke.

:agree: You have some great recommndations in your price range from a laminated solid top uke to an all mahogany one. Good chance any of them will prove better than the Ibanez or Fender. Of course, that's just a matter of opinion.

Yea i was hoping to stay away from the mainly guitar company... Its gonna sound dumb but i want something with a traditional hawaiian name!!!

Check out the "Islanders" by Kanilea, or a Kamoa.

The Kala travel tenor is pretty cool and it's been on my UAS list since day one, but I have a Kala full size tenor and it sounds much better than the travel model. And to point out the obvious, "Fender" and "Ibanez" don't sound all that Hawaiian either :) Look into the Kamoa's, IMHO they are a great sounding uke for the money. There are a ton of sound samples on Youtube. You can probably get an entry level Nalu for that price too. I really like the craftmanship, or should I say the QC since they're all made in China, of the Kamoa's and the Nalu's.

Hawaii Music Supply....solid Pono Mahogany Concert in your price range!!! GREAT people and great to deal with!!!
Check it here.....
